Visiting bands information

Visiting bands of course by appointment : contact our secretary ann@mersthambells.co.uk

Our eight bells (tenor 13-2-0) are well looked after and considered easy to ring. The ground floor ring makes it a friendly tower - you can still chat in the nave while the bells are bring rung!

Parking is best in Church Hill (see right).
Entry is through the main south door - the tower door is always locked. The church is open during daylight hours and must be left open during ringing. For peals etc, we recommend that you create an informal barrier with chairs to maintain a separation zone to fend off curious and friendly 'Pilgrims' using the Pilgrims Way which passes the door!
There is one clock hammer to remove.
Lighting - best to use the 'tower fluorescents' - the 'tower spots' can dazzle

Jack lives in Rockshaw Road opposite the church in case of trouble 07443 033294

Beware of parking restrictions in Church Hill!

If you can't time your visit to avoid 2pm-3pm then the best parking is a little way *north* up London Road past the bus stop
